The Little Prince
The Fox’s secret, “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly . . . what is essential is invisible to the eye,” takes on a different meaning entirely when celebrated by a neuro-diverse cast. EPIC’s production of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s The Little Prince (adapted for the stage by Rick Cummins and John Scoullar) was heralded as “a gift” and an “All around all-star production,” with one reviewer remarking, "The question of what it means to be an adult and what adults do to children’s perceptions weighs heavily throughout the play: in the context of EPIC’s greater mission, this line of inquiry suggests, too, that the ways we view difference especially in the alter-abled is something that’s purely and unnaturally taught and learned when we're very young."
